Motivational Quote of the Week:

“Complaining is not a strategy. You have to work with the world as you find it, not as you would have it to be.” -Jeff Bezos

I've always been fascinated with how the brain works and how its the main factor in controlling our behaviors. I used to think that the habits I possessed were unchangeable. Until I realized through college and experience that all our behaviors start with a mental habit. In which, most of our mental habits grew from our childhood and upbringing. Upon this realization and awareness I was able to tackle the mental habits I knew were unhealthy for me. One of the worst mental habits to have is complaining. When you complain you've immediately take a negative and unproductive view of your life, giving little or no room for improvement. Placing blame upon that object, person or life event, rather than upon yourself and figuring a way to overcome it. You can spend hours and days complaining about everything around you, but it won't change anything. Sometimes you have to understand that some aspects of life is unchangeable and instead we have to adapt to the environment. When we allow ourselves to adapt and overcome uncomfortable parts of our life, we develop character and confidence. A simple example of this can be that I can complain all I want about a mountain being to high conquer. But if I instead use that mental energy to contemplate the most efficient route up the mountain, I maybe able to overcome it and realize the tremendous power I possess. You're more than able to overcome any difficulty in your life, all it comes down to is how you approach it mentally and physically.
