Motivational Quote of the Week: March 26th to April 1st

Motivational Quote of the Week:

“Life is amazing. And then it’s awful. And then it’s amazing again.

And in between the amazing and the awful it’s ordinary and mundane and routine.

Breathe in the amazing, hold on through the awful, and relax and exhale during the ordinary.

That’s just living heartbreaking, soul-healing, amazing, awful, ordinary life. And it’s breathtakingly beautiful.” - L.R. Knost

One of the simplest truths we must accept and learn is that life isn’t all pleasant as we might want it to be. Within our lifespan we’ll most likely have an array life experiences ranging from laugh tearing happiness to paralyzing sadness. All these events including the ones we want to forget contribute to the development of our character and overall potential. The key to allowing any experience to positively influence your development is your ability to use that event as an insight to your current psyche. Even during our most tragic moments our sadness or anger can reveal something about ourselves we might want to change. You may realize during that moment your current state of mind or habits aren’t producing the results you want. Upon noticing our faults we are then able to change them if we put forth the effort into creating a new habit. It’s our reactions to life experiences that determines our growth from them. When we control how we react to life events we are able to control the direction afterwards. To assume that you have no control upon your life is to leave yourself blind to the endless possibilities you possess. No matter how tragic your life maybe at this very moment, you must realize you’re the captain of this ship called life and you decide if you sink or continue on through the beautiful chaos of the ocean.

So Captain, what’s your destination?
