Motivational Quote of the Week:

“People won’t have time for you if you are always angry or complaining.” -Stephen Hawking

With the passing of one of the greatest minds of human history, Stephen Hawking. I that it’d be appropriate to have one of his quotes this week. This week’s quote deals with how your attitude can affect your social surroundings and potential opportunities. The ability to be aware and control our emotions is a necessity for us to become successful in any field. Being unable to control our emotions like anger can hurt your relationships with your friends, family and acquaintances. As well, uncontrollable complaining can hinder your ability to overcome your current situation. When we overly complain we tend to make ourselves a victim, pushing as much responsibility away to comfort our minds. We must remember that our emotions reveal something about us that can be improved. An example can be a student failing a test and becoming angered by it. The anger this student feels can reveal (if the student is aware) a frustration of their inability to properly prepare for the test. The ability to be aware of our emotions and to control them is like any other skill we learn. First, you must accept your emotion by not completely avoiding it and then be aware of why that emotion surfaced. Secondly, if you’d want to avoid that feeling in the future, you must determine what positive and productive actions can be done. When we master ourselves mentally and physically we are able to achieve amazing feats. The feats that can be achieved is purely dependent on the amount of work, time, effort and struggle you’re willing to endure. Be ambitious and create a life worth living.
