Motivational Quote of the Week

"When I let go of what I am, I become what I might be." -Lao Tzu

We are constantly in a state of change, a state of self transformation that must not become stagnant. I love using water as an analogue for constant self transformation. A flowing river is considered healthy and vibrant, for it carries nutrients down river and for the surrounding environment. A body of water that is stagnant with no place to go, usually becomes stale and a breeding ground for insects and diseases. Think of yourself as a body of water, if you continue to flow and accept the change ahead of you, you'll prosper with life. However, if you stay stagnant or sedentary you'll only be hurting yourself and any progress towards improvement. You must be willing to let go of your previous self to be able to accept what you'll become. Hanging on to past may remind you of your "good old days", but remember you can create more of those and even better ones when you let go. Who you were last year doesn't make you who you are now, but instead what you do now defines your current self. Put yourself in a constant state of transformation and try to be 1% better than you were yesterday.
