September Events and News (Updated 9/18/17)

Color Belt Testing

We’re conducting another color belt testing on Friday, September 29th, 2017. We’ll be handing out testing papers two weeks prior to testing to those students that have shown mastery of their current techniques. Remember to hand the testing papers 3 days prior to testing to avoid late fees. We'll have a Make Up Color Belt Testings on October 6th at 7:00 pm for those students that can't make it to the regular time.

Stranger Danger Preparedness Class

With the tragic news of a Trio attempting to kidnap a pair of kids recently within the Poway Community. We at Anthony Hong Tae Kwon Do would like to help prepare our students and their friends or family members with essential skills that could keep them out of danger. On September 23rd and October 7th from 3:00-4:00 pm, we’ll be conducting a one hour session to teach self-defense skills. The class will focus on educating participants on awareness of their surroundings, proper behaviors to attract attention to their situation and self-defense skills.

Sunday Extra Preparedness Day

On September 24th, 2017, we’ll be opening the studio from 11:00 to 4:00 pm for students looking to polish their skills before testing day. We’ll have ten 30 minute sessions students can sign up for and they’ll be first come, first serve. Each session will cost only $35, which is 50% cheaper than our usual price. The session will focus on mastery of the student’s forms and kicking techniques. If you’d like more information about this event please don’t hesitate to ask.

Referral Grand Challenge

Starting on the first week of the Bring a Friend event we’ll be conducting a referral grand challenge. For 90 days we’ll be counting the amount of referrals each student brings to our studio, at the end of the 90 day challenge the student with the most referrals will win a Grand Prize! The Grand Prize will be a Xbox One X, which will be given to the winner when the device is released in November. Students aren’t the only people that can win a prize, parents will have their own chance on winning a $100 gift card to Starbucks or a gift card to a spa. For further information on this event please don’t hesitate to ask.
